-A factional chairman of the opposition political party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff said he remains the party’s leader.
-Sheriff also said he was not disturbed by the crossing of his key supporters of Ahmed Makarfi led Caretaker Committee.
Speaking through National Chairman of his faction, Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh, the sheriff says he has no agreement with anyone to abandon his position as the leader.
Ojuogboh told reporters in Abuja on Saturday that the battle for the PDP leadership control has not been concluded.
He said: “I express permission from the sheriff to inform our supporters and PDP faithful nationwide that agreementment has not been reached with anyone, nor was he permitted anyone to decide on any processes on his behalf.
“We are continuing with our cases in the court, we respect the rule of law. Sheriff will address a press conference, Monday on the condition of our party, PDP. Our goal remains to return the party of the people and eradicate impunity”.
