Dokpesi Denies Alleged Sponsoring of Niger Delta Avengers

The National chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, has denied sponsoring activities of the Niger Delta Avengers, saying that it’s nothing but a blatant concoction of falsehood clearly laced with the political intention of throwing a wrench in the works of our nationwide campaign/consultation with PDP delegates throughout the country in our bid to contest the National chairmanship of the PDP.

He called on all Nigerians and delegates to the PDP National Convention to shun Cynthia Whyte’s allegation. In statement signed by Alhaji Shehu Gabam DG, Dokpesi Campaign Organisation on Monday Dokpesi said that ‘a report by one Cynthia Whyte of the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers published by Sahara Reporters  where an allegation was made to the effect that high Chief Dokpesi may be a sponsor of the activities of the Niger Delta Avengers in Nigeria.

‘We want to look at that ordinarily, a baseless accusation by a faceless identity hardly deserves a response. It is unfortunate that the editors at Sahara Reporters permit their media to be used without showing responsibility to downgrade innocent citizens with malicious falsehood and conspiracy theories without looking into their sources on the genuineness of information they disperse.

‘For the avoiding doubt, allow us to state that this is nothing but a blatant concoction of falsehood obviously laced with the political intention of throwing a spanner in the works of our nationwide campaign/consultation with PDP delegates throughout the country in our bid to contest the National chairmanship of the party
