Nigerian popular music artist, Chinagorom Onuoha, also known as African China, called out to Nigerian celebrities, entertainers who had nice things to say about the death of the music producer and artiste, OJB Jezreel on social media, but never showed up at his funeral.
Recall that the entertainment industry was thrown into mourning, following the news and social media has been flooded with braces as actors and songsters penned
However, OJB was buried on Saturday but according to African China, most celebrities did not turn up to give him his last respect.
What China said was confirmed by the deceased’s family that many of these so-called friends never showed up to make condolence visits to them after his death.
In an interview with HipTv, he expressed his surprise at how celebrities would give up and ignore the final laying to rest of such a legend that no doubt
impact in the lives of many.
He said: “I am really shocked and disappointed to see that we like more than a thousand known celebrities who are so-called and have received from OBJ. It is not about meeting him. “Whether or not you met him, he must have inspired you in one way or another and that was the last report we were supposed to come and show him.
“Too bad, a lot of artistes had to send their managers. I was there live at his funeral, he said
“If it was a manager who passed on, his counterparts no doubt would pay him the last respect it deserves, not for you to send your managers, why did you not attend?” he asked.
