- President Buhari had said that his government is full of saboteurs
- He expressed doubts about the loyalty of some key members of his administration.
- The President did not mention any of these officials.
However, in an interview with Al-Jazeera during his recent visit to Doha, Qatar, the President was asked to be specific on his list submission, which suggested that there were saboteurs in his government, Buhari responded, “Certainly!” He said it would be wrong to assume that government officials, especially those who his administration inherited from the opposition Party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will be 100% loyal to his government.
President Buhari added, “People who want to be fair to us to sit and reflect; from the President to the ministers and permanent secretaries, they were all taken over after eight successive governments or those who are now in the opposition. Hence, we cannot assume that all of them are 100% loyal to this administration.”
