UEFA has announced its 2016 team of the year which includes 8 La Liga stars, 2 Italian Serie A stars and 1 Bundesliga star.
Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus stars dominated the list as no Premier League player was included.
UEFA took into consideration players who were prominent in their league campaigns, UEFA Champions League and Euro 2016.
Real Madrid won the 2016 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid while Portugal defeated France in Euro 2016 final.
Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus is the goalkeeper and is joined by the club and international teammate Leandro Bonucci.
Germany and Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng also lines us in defence alongside Gerard Pique of Barcelona and Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos.
Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and Luca Modric line up in midfield alongside Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.
The forward line wouldn’t be complete without usual suspects Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi who are joined by Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
