The President of the Nigeria football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has said the football house has plans to concentrate on the Super Eagles.
The NFF boss was speaking, after the Golden Eaglets did not qualify for next year’s U-17 AFCON and admitted that the senior team can get the foremost attention from henceforth.
He noted that the NFF will do all within its power, to make sure that Nigeria qualifies for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
“Our focus would be the Super Eagles. The team is the leading brand of Nigerian football and if they get it right, it will have a roll-on impact on other teams. Eagles are the top of the pyramid and their success will impact on the success or otherwise of the national teams,” Pinnick said.
“We will not sleep on our oars to make sure the smooth qualification of the Eagles for the Russia World Cup in 2018, this we promise Nigerians.”
