World Cup Qualifier: Rohr Calls Up Akpeyi To Replace Ikeme

Technical adviser, Gernot Rohr of Super Eagles has invited Daniel Akpeyi, South Africa-based goalkeeper to replace Carl Ikeme, who has been pulled out of the Algeria encounter as a result of an injury.

Ikeme sustained injuries while featuring for his Wolverhampton Wanderers club on Saturday 30

Daniel Akpey plays for Chippa United in South Africa. He was in the Nigerian U-20 team that finished as runners-up at the 2005 FIFA World Cup in Netherlands.

Akpey was also in the bronze-winning team at the current edition of the Olympics football tournament in Brazil.

The Super Eagles will take on the Fennecs of Algeria in Uyo on Saturday 12, November 2016.
