- Rumours circulated in recent months about the design of the highly anticipated device, which offers its customers a larger screen and stylus to interact with the new device.
An image proliferated by the Korean company confirmed Wednesday that it will unveil the new device during an unboxing event in a few weeks time, referring to the fact that the company will probably jump in note 6 to the nickname to comply with its current Smartphone range.
The minimalist announcement also featured a circle of styli arranged to look exactly like an iris, which seems to confirm a number of leaks and reports that the new device will feature an iris scanner. Hence, users can expect to unlock their phone just by looking at it.
Samsung’s bigger handset should have a dual curved glass display screen, much like Galaxy S7 Edge.
Earlier this month, a prominent leaker of Samsung devices, Evan Blass posted leaked images online of what the phone will look like.
The images show the presumed curved edges and what appears to be a scanner of the iris.
The device is also expected to have:
- 6GB of RAM
- 64GB of internal storage
- Larger 4000 mAh.
The announcement was short on details, but technophiles will not have to wait for long to see the latest addition to Samsung in the Smartphone market.
The unboxing event will be broadcast live on Samsung.com.
