Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole said that Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers state Governors are Planning to unleash Militants On Edo.
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole had said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state government were prepared for Saturday’s Edo State governorship Election.
Oshiomhole made the statement on Thursday in Benin during a meeting with stakeholders and leaders of the party at different levels at the government House.
He debunked allegations by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the APC was provocative for the postponement of the poll.
He said it was quite unfortunate that in spite of security reports urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone the election, the independent electoral body had remained rigid.
He said INEC should be able to take liability for any action if it decides to conduct the election against security advice, adding that he would not take responsibility for the commission.
Oshiomhole advised members of the party in the state to be watchful and “de-rig the opposition parties with their Permanent Voters Card (PVC)”.
He alleged that governors of neighbouring states, Bayelsa, Delta and Rivers States were getting ready to bring in militants into the state to cause violence during the election.
He warned persons that might be used for such nefarious act to have a rethink or face the implications if they are caught
