Victorious super eagles of Nigeria are now smiling to the bank after they got some of their outstanding allowances immediately after their 2-1 victory in Ndola, Zambia.
They received their flight ticket refunds, match bonus for the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania last month as well as appearance fees for 2 friendlies in May, 2016 against Lumembourg and Mali.
It is estimated that a player who was involved in all 3 matches would have received close to $8,000.00
The win bonus for yesterday’s World cup qualifier in Ndola, Zambia is now the only payments outstanding for the Eagles. Next month, Nigeria will welcome Algeria to Uyo, Awka Ibom in continuation of the World cup qualifying series.
Meanwhile, former Nigeria’s national team goalkeeper, Emmanuel Okala has congratulated the super Eagles for their 2-1 defeat of Chipolopolo of Zambia in Ndola, Zambia.
“I watched the match; it was great match and our boys showed character and skill; they have made us proud again; we are indeed proud of them” Okala said in an interview with News agency of Nigeria (NAN).
